Respite

Rustling still beads with the flicker of her fingers
The heavy amber walls came alive with the
Images of light hitting the swaying lamps tendrils

And she breathed deeply into the tired bosom
Sucked and sullied beyond repair
Woman becoming whole once more

Dear Johann whispers the voice within
Lungs filling with the heady scent of bergamot
She silenced the thought

Tiptoeing into the clamoring chambers of the mind
Reveling in its silence gently blowing away
All thoughts of child husband cat
Worldly injustices and money woes

Wrapping the gift of nothingness
With a red and ribboned box
Savoring its contents this gift of space, breath, and time
